FAQ's

Some freqently asked questions are:

Am I aware of what's going on during the session?

Yes, completely. A common misconception of hypnotherapy is that the client is put into a deep trance and will be able to recall very little they have said. The intention behind altered state work as it is encorprated in the Depth Hypnosis model, is that clients experience a relaxed state of focused attention, and remember everything. Clients are free at any point to ask to come of out this state. Within Depth Hypnosis, the clients will is not surrendered to the hypnotherapist. The practitioner's role is that of a facilitator, to learn about the client as they work and use what they learn to help the client know himself.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on the nature of the presenting problem. From experience, it is advisable to allow approximately 3 sessions before this can be determined.

Does Depth Hypnosis belong to a professional body and is it supervised?

Yes, it is recognised by the Professional Board of Hypnotherapy which is an international organisation. Becoming a Depth Hypnosis practitioner is a rigorous process. In order to maintain status as practitioner yearly reports are required for submission which are supervised.
